Deanna is a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Adlerian Parent Educator, and is trained in Expressive Play Therapy Methods for Children.

Deanna has been immersed in the addictions recovery world both personally and professionally for over 17 years, and is passionate about working with these issues. Deanna draws strength and insight from her own healing process, and believes her personal experience helps deepen the therapist/client relationship. Deanna can help you have a more complete understanding of the reasons behind your addictive behavior, can explore treatment options, and can also support you with aftercare and relapse prevention during your sobriety.

Deanna believes in a holistic approach to therapy, and believes that each client brings unique strenghts and struggles to the counselling process. She draws from a number of therapeutic models, including, but not limited to; Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, Narrative, Mindfulness, Solution Focused, and Motivational Interviewing. Deanna uses those tools that she believes will most benefit you, and believes the therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client is key in the healing process.

Her background includes facilitating Parenting After Separation programs, helping families communicate more effectively, solve problems in parenting situations, and move forward in their lives. Deanna also is skilled in consulting with and advocating for families facing school challenges, and issues such as ADHD, anxiety and depression, and learning disabilities.
